Predicament of a housewife who was torn between career and children...... 12 years back, I had to give up my career not by choice but because I have 2 asthmatic children. After striving so hard for more than 10 years to build a career for myself ... in the end I had to give up to take care of my children. Well, it was definitely not an easy decision to give up my career as it would mean losing one source of income for the family. Money may not be everything but it's definitely important in life as everything needs money such as education, children's medical bills, basic needs and etc. However, with sacrifices and by setting priorities, we managed to pull through. For the past 12 years, all my effort and concentration was to ensure that my children recover from asthma before they reach puberty. Well, the doctor says........ Well 12 years has passed now....... thank god they've fully recovered from asthma but....
